Zambia Super League side Trident FC reportedly tried to lure Lumwana Radiants head coach Lameck Banda from the National Division One side.
The ZamFoot Crew understands that Trident wanted Banda to take over from Israel Mwanza who was sent on administrative leave at the start of last month.
Mwanza was sent on the dreaded administrative leave following a disappointing run of results.
However a source close to the club told the ZamFoot Crew that the two parties failed to come to an agreement.
Lameck Banda seems to have settled at Lumwana Radiants and is happy with the project that he is building in North Western Province.
Forest Rangers are also believed to have been interested in the former FC MUZA boss following the departure of Ian Bakala who dumped them for Nkana.
Banda left FC MUZA in June following a stellar season with the Elegant Dynamites leading the club through a historic 2022-23 season.
During his tenure Banda led FC MUZA to impressive performances that saw the club finish second place in the Super League and automatically qualify for their maiden CAF Confederation Cup.
Banda also led the Mazabuka outfit to the ABSA Cup Final where they lost to Forest Rangers at a packed Woodlands Stadium
