African giants TP Mazembe held talks with Red Arrows defender Tresor Tshibwabwa Yambayamba, the ZamFoot Crew can exclusively reveal.
The Congolese born centre back was one of the stand out players last season and his performance attracted interest from his homeland.
It is believed Tshibwabwa with another player [name withheld] travelled to Lubumbashi during the international break.
“The two boys came and held talks with TP [Mazembe] officials. TP were very much interested in both players,” a highly placed ZamFoot Crew insider said.
Before joining Red Arrows last season, Tshibwabwa featured for TP Mazembe’s city rivals Lupopo.
At Nkoloma Stadium, the 24 year old has become a fans’ favourite that has earned him a nickname ‘The Businessman.’
He helped the club win their first league title in 18 years last season.
