There’s no place like home for Kambole

“King Lazi is back. He shouldn’t have gone to South Africa,” wrote a die hard Zega Mambo fan on social media.

“Four years down the drain”, wrote another fan.

“There’s no place like home,” wrapped up by another one.

The story of striker Lazarous Kambole is an intriguing one.

Having signed from Konkola Blades in 2014, Kambole banged in goals for fun for Zesco United helping the Ndola side to multiple titles.

By 2019, be was already a household name in Zambia and time was ripe for the Chililabombwe born forward.

He arrived in the South African PSL with so much hype but having scored only 3 goals over 3 years for Kaizer Chiefs, Kambole was offloaded to Tanzania and joined Yanga last year.

Kambole scored on his second debut for Zesco United as he earned them a point against Lumwana Radiants.

He followed up that with a brace in the 3-0 over Green Eagles on Sunday
