Kambole nets brace, Wins for Arrows, Leopards, Power and Warriors

Lazarus Kambole continued his fine form in front of goal since his return to ZESCO United while Red Arrows made it two wins in a row. 

Kabwe Warriors handed Nkwazi their ninth loss of the season with Power Dynamos and Prison Leopards recording wins. 

The Zambia Super League entered week 22 over the weekend. 

Defending Champions, Red Arrows recorded their second win in a row as edged Buildcon 2-1. 

Felix Bulaya and Joseph Phiri scored for the Airmen who are without their head coach Chisi Mbewe who is out on National duty in West Africa. 

Former Zanaco midfielder Christone Jere scored for relegation-threatened Buildcon. 

At Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, Striker Lazarus Kambole scored a brace to guide ZESCO United to a 3-0 win over Green Eagles. 

The match was abandoned on Saturday after a heavy downpour with Zega Mambo leading 1-0 thanks to a Chanda Mukuka early goal. 

The game resumed on Sunday in the morning and Kambole swung into action scoring in the 60th and 90th minute to make it 3 goals in two games. 

At Edwin Imboela Stadium, Power Dynamos beat Napsa Stars 1-0 in an early encounter played at Edwin Imboela  Stadium in lusaka.

Fredrick Mulambia’s 11th minute goal was all that was needed to end the drought at Power dynamos,having recorded 3 consecutive draws.

The newly signed Congolese National Andy Boyeli,was impressive on his debut and seems to have settled in well, recording an assist for the lone goal that gave Power the victory.

In the second match, Quadri Kola scored from the penalty spot to rescue a point for Forest Rangers as he cancelled out Jack Chirwa’s beautiful free kick. 

Nkana were held to a 1-1 draw by Chambishi while Kansanshi Dynamos and Lumwana Radiants played to a goalless draw in a North Western derby. 

Landu Miete and Zephaniah Zulu scored a goal each as Prison Leopards beat Zanaco 2-0 at the National Heroes Stadium. 

Nchanga Rangers and FC MUZA played to a 1-1 draw. 

Sydney Kasanda’s late goal leveled matters for FC MUZA after Angel Lubamba had put Rangers in the lead in the opening minute of the match. 

In Kabwe, The magnificent People’s team recorded a 3-0 win over relegation-threatened  Nkwazi.

Former Indeni midfielder Clement ‘Jakuzi’ Mulenga scored a brace while Samuel Onyango scored the other goal.
