Ugly scenes of hooliganism were seen at full time at Sunset Stadium on Friday.
And the Football of Association of Zambia, FAZ are expected to ban two identified Zanaco supporters for attacking referee Micheal Lialabi.
Following Zanaco’s 2-1 defeat to Red Arrows on Friday, the two known Zanaco supporters leaders besieged and confronted Lialabi in full view of FAZ Referee Coordinator Aziph Banda.
In no time, Lialabi was receiving slaps and punches from the two supporters to the amusement of the people in the stands who had thought he had handled the game well.

Lialabi was only saved by alert Zambia Police officers on duty from the attacks and harassments.
As the Police officers were escorting Lialabi and his assistants to the dressing room, other Zanaco fans joined in and threw missiles at them.
“The referee was top class today. His officiating was very good,” a fan told the ZamFoot Crew as the fracas was going on.
“He did a good job on the pitch and actually Zanaco should thank him for not sending Kelvin Kapumbu for violent conduct,” she continued.
It was a view shared by many stakeholders at Sunset Stadium yesterday.

As the fracas was going on, the Zanaco officials refused to open the game for FAZ Referee Coordinator Aziph Banda to enter the dressing.
Next week Banda is expected to receive the referees and match commissioner’s match report and having digested everything the two Zanaco supporters are expected to receive hefty bans.

This uncalled for. We can’t allow this to happen in our game. The 2 fans should be charged for assual.
