Provincial side Sporting Lusaka FC have turned down offers from MTN Super League for four highly rated teenagers.

The ZamFoot Crew understands a host of Super League clubs have made enquiries about some of their famed players in the production line.

The quartet Victor ‘Bebem’ Simazuwo, Blessings Sam Sinyangwe, Choonya Shampongo and Peter Subakanya are some of the boys being tracked by top tier clubs.

“It’s true that a number of clubs have approached us. It shows that the boys’ hard work is being appreciated.

“We turned down a few lucrative offers. We want the boys to get the much valuable game time in the next 5 months,” a source inside the club said.

The Glamour Boys hierachy have urged the boys to continue working hard.

“They need to continue being humble, grounded and working hard. The boys understand the pathway which the club is mapping out for them.

Simazuwo (midfielder)and Sinyangwe (centre back) together with Darius Musonda went to Sweden last year.

Shampongo scored 5 goals and provided 14 assists last season while Subakanya scored 23 goals as they guided the Glamour Boys to promotion to Division 2.

“For instance, there were more than six clubs after Peter [Subakanya], but we feel he needs to continue developing with us.

“Peter might have scored 20 plus goals but we feel there’s no need to rush him.

Sporting Lusaka has a number of players out on loan including Lewis Mwachisemo and Kelvin Mulenga at Red Arrows and Konkola Blades respectively.

Midfielder James Nene Sibeene and Robert Banda are currently in Sweden.

The Zambia Under-17 duo have been in Europe since June.
