The Zambia U23 this afternoon left for Abuja, Nigeria where they will play their Nigerian counterparts in a second round, first leg All Africa Games qualifier this weekend.
The technical bench which is led by Fighton Simukonda who is assisted by Chintu Kampamba has named five players from the U20 national team which recently participated in the Africa Youth Championship which is currently being played in Senegal.
The players include defenders Boyd Mkandawire and Kapota Kayawe, midfielders Larry Bwalya and Spencer Sautu as well as Striker Patrick Ngoma.
The team will be without three key players who were named in the provisional squad who include South Africa based midfielder Mukuka Mulenga who failed to pitch up, U20 captain and Chipolopolo midfielder Lubambo Musonda and Bruce Musakanya who are both injured.
