Striker Kennedy Musonda swapped Power Dynamos for Tanzania’s Yanga in the transfer window.
Musonda has continued to find the back of the net in Tanzania with his recent coming over the weekend in a highly charged 3-1 win over Tp Mazembe, a game also Alex ‘Bazo’ Ng’onga scored for the Congolese outfit.
Add his goals in East Africa to the 11 he scored for Power Dynamos in the first half of the campaign, the 29 year old is one of the in form Zambian strikers at the moment.
With Forest Rangers’ red hot Moyela Libamba still raw and yet to make his international bow, Musonda might be Zambia’s hope heading into the African Cup of Nations back to back qualifiers against Lesotho.
Apart from Moyela who has 11 goals, the likes of Ricky Banda (1), Albert Kangwanda (0), Fashion Sakala (4), Edward Chilufya (0) and Patson Daka (4 goals) have been struggling in front of goal.
Ng’onga who recently trekked to Lubumbashi after his disciplinary issue is been touted as a potential option but the veteran striker has scored for goal in friendly matches than competitive matches.
Ng’onga, like Zlatan Ibrahimovic – over-rated.
Takes that unnecessary extra touch and shoots wide.
Give Kennedy a chance … some strikers mature later.
If he is that good what is he doing in Tanzania?
Tanzania is not enough to have a player of Zambia national team material. Let’s us ourselves why Clatus Chama fails to shine whenever he’s called upon to the national team.
Let’s give Kennedy chance. He was scoring in Zambia. Not all players we use in the national.are.not coming from other leagues. He has scored in a caf which is an equivalent to a national engagement
I don’t know where people got the idea that Kennedy is 29, when he just turned 28. Kennedy has in the current season scored 14 goals so far. 11 in the local league, 2 in the Tanzanian league and one in CAF. Kennedy Musonda, Sr.
