Trident FC relegated from the MTN Super League

North Western based side Trident FC have been relegated to the FAZ National Division One following a 3-1 loss to Nkwazi.

Emmanuel Chabula put Nkwazi in the lead after just 15 minutes to open the scoring. Whiteson Songwe put the ball in his own net a minute after the half hour mark.

Nkwazi were in complete control as they made it 3-0 thanks to a Brian Masanyinga goal just before halftime.

The Conquerors pulled one back seven minutes into the second stanza through Reagan Mtonga but it was a little too late.

With only four matches left to play Trident can not finish above 16th place even if they win all their remaining games.

Three more teams are expected to join them to complete the relegation list.
