Buoyant Asante Kotoko coach Charles Akonnor believes his team can end Nkanas unbeaten run at home in Continental football. Akkonor warned Nkana that his team was in Zambia to make sure they put an end to the 43 year record.
Akonnor is aware of the calibre of the team he will face tomorrow but he is confident in his teams ability .
“Its important game for both teams . For us we have the view that if we want to go to the next round this is the moment. I believe in my team . If we do what we want to do tomorrow we will get a good result. History will tell you Nkana has never lost a game at home but history is bound to be broken and we are here to make sure that happens,” Akonnor said.
“We lost our first game and we won the second game and we play the third game tomorrow, A very important game both teams . Nkana is a very good side that comes with a lot of prestige like us. We here for serious business , We all know that everyone has won their home games so its important to get something away ,” Akonnor added.
His opposite number Beston Chambeshi believes its just his opinion as he needs to be positive heading into the match .
“It’s the coaches opinion when he says they will collect maximum points. There is no way you can go into the bush to hunt and with the belief that you will come back empty handed. We are ready for them and looking forward to get maximum points . Kotoko is a big team with a good record like Nkana so we will see what will happen on the pitch tomorrow,” he said.
Defender Richard Ocran and midfielder Duncan Otieno have returned from suspension and Chambeshi is excited to have a full house .
“We happy that the whole team is now intact without suspensions and the morale in camp is very high,” he said.
Nkana will host Asante Kotoko in a group C encounter of the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday as they aim to make it two wins in a row

The game will be a difficult one. But nkana shall prevail.
