The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) are set to name former South Africa PSL side Bloemfontein Celtic coach Vaselin Jelušica as the new Chipolopolo head coach.
The Times of Zambia reports that Football house has settled for the former Serbian trainer. Last week FAZ announced that they were going to name a new Chipolopolo head coach this week.
The Former Angola and Botswana national team head coach was among four names reported by the ZamFoot Crew last week to have attended interviews at Football House in connection with the Chipolopolo top job.
Luc Eymael, A Belgian football manager Luc Eymael who recently managed Tala’ea El Gaish SC in the Egyptian Premier League was another one eying the job but confirmed on twitter that he was not going to the ‘Chosen One’.
He expressed disappointment on his tweet at the development as he was eager to coach the 2012 AFCON winners.

Pierre Lechantre, a French coach who won the 2000 African Cup of Nations with Cameroon and Tomislav Ivković, A 59-year-old Croatian manager are the other two coaches who were vying for the job.
Ivkoviç was believed to be the from runner because of the MOU signed between Zambia and Croatia which borders on collaboration on matters of Football development.
The new Chipolopolo boss will be announced this week and will take over at the helm of the Zambia National team, The post has been vacant since the departure of Belgian trainer Sven Vandenbroek back in February.
What is really wrong with this administration,this man has failed to deliver both club level and national level.
If there was no money to pay a proper coach I would rather settle for Chiyangi.Actually Chiyangi is far much better than Vaseline the only difference is the color.
FAZ don’t care about players. Let’s see if that cheap coach will take a goalkeeper to Serbia.
Chiyangi is doing good, he gave us hopes in goal and defense.

This guy clearly failed in Botswana. He has not managed anything worth mentioning not even at club level.
Zambia experimented with the WHITE SHIRT and we were victorious in 2012. However, Zambia is not a small team. We cannot be an experimental side. NOT AFTER the habitual FAILURE TO QUALIFY FOR THE afcon.
Now will just be giving chances to failures it was “stve seven” now its Vaseline next it will be Top Jelly.If you want to try your luck go to Zambian atleast after fired you will bag $$$ at the end.
So far national hope is in the U23 and the Shepolopolo @ least Beauty Mwamba is producing results while Quick Silver’s boys have huge potential to get past Congo Brazaville.
Not sure how to react to this one. I still think Wedson Nyrenda was a good coach maybe even better than this guy. We shall see.

Agree with comments above. Aggrey chiyangi made an average team play far far beyond its expectations and delivering results that were thought not possible.
