Zambia’s export to Egypt Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba walked straight into the starting line up of his new club but failed to prevent them from losing despite arriving in the country on Sunday.
Kampamba’s Wadi Degla lost 2-1 to Petrojet in an Egyptian League match and the former Nkana striker played 88 minutes before he was substituted.
Wadi Degla scored first in the 73rd minute but conceded two late goals in injury time.
They are now fourth on the log with 32 points after 19 games while leaders Zamalek are on 44 points.
Sate Sate is the only Zambian in the Egyptian league.
The 20 year old forward signed a three and half year deal with the Egyptian side.

Its good that the club has faith in sate sate. All the best sate sate. Zamfoot is sate sate the only zambian player in the egyptian league?
Hmmm ba Zamfoot. Inga Felix Katongo, is he also not in Egypt?
Yes, Felix Katongo is now a free agent. Check out our new story.
Am also wondering here Zamfoot I thought Felix turns out for a team there also, now this Development.
“Sate Sate is the only Zambian in the Egyptian league”. Is this correct bane? Anyway, its good for Sate Sate and that showsn they have a lot of faith in him and he should start delivering soon.
Do not give up young boy. It was your first match
Young don’t listen to people who are saying its a small club. The problem with most Zambians they want to start big. If they start big they end small
Good for him, the Egyptian will bulk him up and he will be deadly before we know it.
I wish Kampamba well in his career, but my prediction is that he will not make it in Egypt. Egyptian football requires a lot of hard work because it is fluid and as such requires a lot of movement from players. In Eg. Guinea we noticed what a liability Satasate could be because he was so static and immobile. He’s a player that waits to be fed the ball and without the attribute of movement off the ball he’s not gonna make it. One only needs to look at the sort of centre forwards that have been succesful in Egypt like Geddo, Amr Zaki, Flavio Amado and Mido to see that Satesate doesn’t possess those qualities. Egyptian centre forwards play like attacking midfielders and are involved in the build up of attacks because of the fluid system Egyptians employ. Good luck to him but it is a long shot.
u r right sate sate needs 2 work on his movements, o else he wil end up like those in past. Being a striker does not mean scoring alway but creatin goal 4 others nd 2 b found were da ball is, this is da difference bwin him nd mayuka
@Chisuta, you’re right. Mayuka may have lost his killer instinct due to a lack of game time, but the boy is hardworking and sometimes even goes wide to support link-up play. Sate Sate stands like a statue waiting for the ball and gets easily frustrated when supply is short. Sate sate in my opinion is Cosafa material, but not Afcon or world cup material. I hope he proves me wrong.
people felix left egypy on matual concent & he is now a free Agent.
