Chipolopolo midfielder Salulani Phiri was on Tuesday morning back in full training under the watchful eye of team physician Dr. Joseph Kabungo.
Dr. Kabungo who yesterday said the Zanaco midfielder had been ruled out of tomorrow game against Mali stated that the U23 vice captain may be available for selection if he passes a late fitness test.
“He has made tremendous progress. Later in the evening we will see and assess if he can be available for selection tomorrow against Mali,” Dr Kabungo said.
Fazfootball reports that Salulani came through full training as Zambia took to the pitch for the final training ahead of the last group match against Mali.
The 21 year old player will be relishing to go though coach George Lwandamina will most likely reserve him for the quarter final match.
Zambia vs Mali kicks off at 16:00 at the Kigali stadium.
