Zambia got straight to work at the 80,000 capacity Des Martyrs Stadium in Kinshasa ahead of this Saturday’s 2024 Colombia FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup second round, second leg qualifier against DR Congo.
Kick-off will be at 16h00CAT.
Zambia’s Ambassador to Congo Dr Paulu Kosita watched on as Coach Charles Haalubono and members of his technical team took the Copper Princesses for a workout.
Kosita is confident that the team can beat DR Congo and qualify to the third round if they work as a team. The first leg finished 2-2 in Lusaka.
“Let’s tell ourselves that destination is Colombia. Let’s put in our level best. You have carried the entire country on your shoulders so let’s work as a team, its teamwork which will lead us to victory,” Kosita said.
“Let’s play as a team then we will be guaranteed of a win. They (DR Congo) are beatable, I know what where our strength is and let’s go with a win. It’s achievable and let’s make mother Zambia proud.”
Winner over two legs will meet Burundi in the third round.
