The Zambia National Team has been drawn in group F alongside Morocco for theTotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Côte d’Ivoire 2023.
This follows the draw held on Thursday evening at the breathtaking, brand-new Parc des Expositions venue in Abidjan.
Zambia and Morocco meet again after being drawn in the same group for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Zambia has also been drawn against neighbours DR Congo, the two time Champions, who beat us in the 1974 final.
East African side Tanzania who are yet to progress out of the group stage at the continental showpiece.
The Copper Bullets of Zambia secured their slot on match day 5 thanks to a 3-0 win over Ivory Coast at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
Zambia topped Group H with 13 points ahead of AFCON hosts Ivory Coast, Comoros and Lesotho.
The 34th edition of the biennial tournament will kick off on January 13, 2024 and run through to 11 February, 2024.
Ivory Coast will open the Competition with a tricky encounter against Guinea Bissau on 13th January, 2024.
Five cities will house groups with Abidjan hosting Group A and B while the rest of the host cities are Yamoussoukro, Bouake, Korhogo and San Pedro.
