Prisca Chilufya on target in Juarez narrow win

Copper Queens winger Prisca Chilufya scored a first half goal to help her side FC Juarez to a narrow 1-0 win over Pachuca in the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Apertura 2024 in the Liga MX Femenil.

Nigeria’s Ohale Osinachi was at fault as she made a mistake in the 11th minute losing the ball to the Zambian international near the box and Chilufya finished neatly with her right foot from mid-distance to make it 1-0 .

Juarez defended well despite a late charge from Pachuca and held on to their victory to take advantage heading into the return match , scheduled for next Sunday at the home of Las Tuzas.

The winning team of each series will advance to the Semifinals. In the event of a tie, the best placed team in the general table, which was headed by Rayadas, Tigres, América and Pachuca, will qualify.
