Nachula nets brace in Katamon win

Zambian forward Rachel Nachula scored a brace and assisted another as Katamon convincingly beat Petah Tikva 3-1.

Nachula levelled matters in the 22nd minute to cancel out Lee Falkon’s opener. The Zambian international benefited from a miscommunication between the goalkeeper and her defense to slot home from close range.

Rachel then set up Ghanaian midfielder Doris Boaduwaa three minutes later to put Katamon in the lead.

The former Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club forward then sealed the win at the hour mark with a close range free header after the goalkeeper failed to deal with a long range effort and she was there to finish off with ease.

The win takes Katamon to 14 points after six matches, and just a point adrift of log leaders Kiryat Gat.
