Prince Mumba inks one-year loan deal

Chipolopolo midfielder Prince Mumba has completed a loan move to Croatian side Club NK Istra 1961, the club has confirmed.

Mumba has penned a one year loan move to the Green-Yellows.

“Kabwe Warriors FC can confirm that Prince Mumba has today completed a move to Croatian club NK Istra 1961 on a one-year loan up to 2023.”

Kabwe Warriors FC Chairman Mutale Ngandu confirmed the development to the club’s media team.

“On behalf of Kabwe Warriors Football Club Executive, I wish to confirm that Prince Mumba has Joined NK Istra 1961 of Croatia on a seasonal loan, up to 30th June 2023,” Ngandu told Kabwe Warriors media.

“As you may all be aware that on 5th July 2022, Prince renewed his contract with us on an understanding that should a Foreign Club seek his signature either on Loan or permanent deal, We shall give him our blessings to proceed overseas, as an Excom that prides in keeping its word, we have done just that.”

“As a club, we are delighted that one of our best and regular players has broken into the European League. We shall, going forward ensure that all our best and regular players excel and seek other challenges by taking Prince’s route,” he added.

The Diminutive midfield workaholic has long preferred a move to Europe.

NK Istra is owned by the Baskonia-Alaves Group the owners of Spanish side Derportivo Alaves and Basketball side, Club Deportivo Saski-Baskonia.
