The Zambia Women’s National Team will have a drive-around parade this morning as a way of meeting the fans.
The Copper Queens who are back from the 2022 Morocco Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will start off from Southern Sun Hotel where they are camped around 10:00hrs.
The Queens are expected to go around the Central Business area and surrounding areas.
Skipper Barbra Banda is expected to lead her team on the parade with the likes of Hazel Nali, Margaret Belemu, Martha Tembo, and the enterprising Evarine Susan Katongo all part of the parade.
The Copper Queens edged nine Champions, Nigeria 1-0 last Friday to clinch bronze medals, the first for the country.
The Copper Queens have also qualified for the 2023 Australia/New Zealand FIFA Women’s World Cup becoming the first Zambia senior football team to do so.
The fans should look out for the heroines as they pass through.
