ZANACO Ladies defender Deborah Nyamulonga scored a remarkable 12 goals last season for the Sensational Ladies who emerged as Champions of the 2021/22 FAZ Women’s League Lusaka Province.
Nyamulonga joined ZANACO Ladies on loan from National League outfit Red Arrows Women Football Club two seasons ago and she was exceptional despite her being a defender scoring beautiful goals, especially from set pieces such as corners and free kicks.
Nyamulonga is arguably one of the best defenders in the Lusaka Provincial Women’s League.
She has ambidextrous powerful feet which she uses to the best of her ability and last season’s performance saw her being called to the Senior National team provisional camp last year.
Nyamulonga who has been enjoying her stay at ZANACO will be hoping to carry on from where she left when the new season begins while setting high heights for a return to the Zambia Women’s National Team set-up.
ZANACO Ladies is expected to be among the teams to play in the Women’s National League this coming season after an amazing performance in the provincial league in their second year running since the time the team was formed.
They however have a playoff against other Provincial Women’s Champions to get through for their Super League status to be confirmed.
