Fwayo is ma man
Congrats power 90⚽Fwayo ⚽Patson
It was nice to watch that clash. However I am surprised why Zambian players are not doing so well at national team level.I watch the ZPL games more than any other league games and have come to the conclusion that most youngsters and their older counterparts are playing very wwell this season.I mean players like the Sakalas of Zanaco and their leader in Ziyo, power dynamos’ Larry and Sakala B, Zesco’s Mayembe. Nkana has Musonda S,J.Ngulube and a lot more. The players who are doing well are so many in almost all the top flight team but the nationa team’s performance does not reflect what these players are capable of doing.Maybe the problem at national level is lack of self belief or should I say they get intimidated by the opponents easily. Zambia should consider having an active U23 side. This is possibly the missing link in Zambian football at international level.
Reason is that our coaches prefer foreign based bench warmers to our active players. Our league is not as bad as we think it is. Is it any wonder some players have thrived in some leagues but when they come, they are just ordinary.
Spot on Sly. Our u 23 has been inactive n ww cant even name the team before tge game. infact do this same u23 exist?
Spot on.COSAFA should be restricted to U23 to increase competition at this level. If your U23 is strong the senior team will be very strong.
Spot on
Our super league has become interesting weldone faz hope we can also witness matches being played at night congrats power you’ve shown your real power.
Thanks power for beating zanaco you such a good neighbor,if you can’t win it better neighbors Kiki Kiki ki
What a game!! Fwayo Tembo – what vision- what passing! Well done Power – good enough to beat Man United!!!
Does FAZ need clearance to go about their business ? I think Chitotela has got it wrong here.
FAZ not cleared to engage coach
GOVERNMENT has not cleared the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) to engage a coach to drill the national team.
FAZ has shortlisted three coaches for the vacant Chipolopolo job.
Deputy Minister of Youth, Sport and Child Development Ronald Chitotela said in an interview from Luapula on Saturday that the state has not authorised the recruitment of a coach for the Chipolopolo.
“We have not cleared the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) to recruit a coach, we hear they will soon announce the name of the new coach but how can they do that [engage a coach] when we have not cleared them [FAZ],” Chitotela said
The national team cant perfom bz bench wamers so called prof play at national team as compared to active players in our league
I wish to disagree with most of the sentiments here attributing the poor performance of the national team to so called foreign benchwarmers. The truth of the matter is that Lwandamina has not been keen to use foreign professionals and instead has relied on inexperienced local players like Paul Katema, Spencer Sautu, Benedict Chepeshi and Mkandawire. He has sidelined experienced foreign players like Emmanuel Mayuka, Jacob Mulenga, Rogers Kola, Chamanga and even Chisamba Lungu. Zambia’s failure to qualify to the African cup of nations is as a result of the failure to include foreign players who are much better than what the local league has to offer.
Gordon is new coach for Zambia
JUST STICK TO LWANDAMINA. HE WILL GET IT RIGHT.
EVEN JANZA COULD HAVE ALSO GET RIGHT.
