Patson Daka nominated for the prestigious Bruno award

Zambian striker Patson Daka’s Austrian football legacy continues even after his departure for English Premier League side, Leicester City.

Daka has been nominated for the Bruno award in the player of the year category. Daka will have to see off competition from Nikolai Baden-Frederiksen, who moved from WSG Tirol to Vitesse Arnheim in the summer, and Rapid strikers Ercan Kara to win the award.

The Bruno is one of the most prestigious honors in Austrian football. For the 25th time, the election will be held by the Association of Football (VdF) and younion.

The players of the professional leagues as well as the players of the Austrian national team are entitled to vote.

The Bruno Gala will take place on October 4, 2021, in the Wiener Stadthalle.

The Zambian international scored 27 goals in 28 league games in the 2020/2021 season and also chipped in with seven assists ending the season as the top scorer in the Bundesliga.

He already won the Skysports Austrian Bundesliga player of the season, the official Austrian Bundesliga player of the season, and the golden boot.
