Record 13 time MTN Super League Champions, Nkana have parted ways with striker Enock Sakala Jnr five months into his two year deal after a mutual separation.
The former ZESCO United forward returned to the MTN Super League in August last year after unsuccessful stints in Egypt and South Africa.
“Nkana FC also wishes to confirm that the club has mutually agreed to part ways with striker Enock Sakala Jr.”
Speaking following the mutual separation, Sakala Jr expressed his appreciation to the club in an interview with Kalampa’s media team.
“I would like to thank Nkana Football Club for the opportunity given to me by making me a part of the club. Nkana has a rich history and I am happy to have been part of the project despite it being for a short time,” Sakala said.
“Thank you to everyone at the club administration, the coaches, the players and staff members and indeed the fans. I wish the club all the best going forward.”
Nkana has also confirmed a contract extension for striker Lazarus Kambole who has penned a short term deal.
“Nkana Football Club is pleased to confirm that the contract of striker Lazarous Kambole, which had expired in December, has been extended until 31 July 2026, with an option to extend his stay at the club further.
The club believes the extension reflects confidence in Kambole’s professional contribution and his continued importance to Nkana FC’s sporting objectives as the season progresses.”
