Twelve time super league champions Nkana came from a goal down to beat Mighty Mufurila wanderers. Nkana who had already qualified for continental football prior to kick off after Lusaka Dynamos loss to Kabwe Warriors are fighting for the league but depend on other teams to do them a favour.
Wanderers opened the scoring in the 32nd minute through former Nkana striker Guily Manziba but two second half strikes from Captain Donashano Malama and two time golden boot winner Ronald Kampamba made sure Nkana won the match and move to second place ahead of Green Buffaloes and Zanaco who play their games on Sunday.
Wanderers remain stuck on 17th position with 39 points and need to beat Zesco United in their last game and hope one of the four teams above them lose their final match.
In Chingola, Ghanian talisman Zikuru Adams struck twice for Nchanga Rangers as they came from a goal down to beat relegated Konkola Blades three goals to one and survive relegation with a game to goal.
Rangers have moved to 43 points, One than the highest tally seventeenth placed Mufurila wanderers can reach should they win their last game.
At Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, Webster Muzaza become the seventh player to score a hatrick this season as he guided Forest Rangers to a three one win over relegated City of Lusaka.
Jeff Siamukwanya pulled one back for city of Lusaka in the 68th minute but it was too little to late as forest rangers collected maximum points.
At Sunset Stadium, In an early Kick off Kabwe Warriors captain Monga Chilimba scored from the spot in the fiftieth minute to end Lusaka Dynamos hopes of playing continental football.
Captain Clatous Chota Chama started the Match from the bench and came on the second half but could not conjure up any magic to save his team from defeat.

Nchanga Rangers survives !!
I ONLY HOPE WE WILL NOT HAVE ELECTRICITY CHALLENGE IN THE POWER VS REAL NAKONDE GAME LIKE WHAT HAPPENED IN THE ZESCO UNITED VS RED ARROWS IN THE MIDWEEK GAMES RESULTING IN THE GAME BEING PLAYED THE NEXT DAY!
I need clarification over the consequences of fielding of an illigeble player; Why FAZ deducted points from Indeni FC and Lusaka Dynamos and award them to Kitwe United and Power Dynamos respectively ? Nkana did the same, used an illegitimate player for several matches ? Can someone give light to this? they’re should be no sacred cows in the game of football ! We want to have confidence in FAZ disciplinary committee! The law should take it’s course! Justice may prevail!!
What criteria FAZ employed ?
Which player was not eligible to play for nkana, my friend?
@ KM……. Walter Bwalya of course but yes!!
@Walter Bwalya’s issue is NOT a Nkana problem but a Faz admin mistake. Nkana did not buy him from Congo but bought him legally from another Faz club Forest Rangers. At the time Nkana were buying him, he had “legitimate” paperwork. His transfer from Forest to Nkana was handled and cleared by Faz. The offense was committed way before Nkana became party to the transaction of the player. Any punishment regarding Walter and his illegality would have to go back in time to 3 or more seasons ago when he arrived in the Zambian league. That would be between Forest, Faz & the player’s former team in Congo. Nkana were nowhere near the deal. That’s why they felt angry when the saga was protracted and Faz were freezing any use of the guy in the lineup. If there’s any justice to be done regarding Nkana and Walter, it’s Nkana who needs compensation for wrongful sanctions imposed when the player should have been giving the service he was bought for with Faz’s full consent. Complacency was on Faz’s end. Not Nkana boss
Thanks my brother for that clarity. I think before we say anything, it’s important to do research on such matters.Abayellow, don’t take matters personal. Powerful power dynamos will always be little brother to Kalampaaaaaaaaaa. Nkana will always rule kitwe.
Pa Ka Red! Football is made in Kitwe.
We used to say, “Ipenga likalila pa Chilata again and Kapambwe Mulenga akanina Ichoni!”
Well ba Nkana congrats once again my prediction on top four was miscalculated my team failed to prove to be one of the best teams this season. Its official now Zesco, Zanaco, GBFC and Nkana. Sate Sate again registering his name watch out for the next season he will contest for the golden boot. The overrated chap Ng’onga should not be near the national team again he will cost us and we will easily forget about his wastefulness on goal.
Well done Green Buffaloes and captain Chris- have surprised many with their attacking prowess!!
