NAPSA Stars skipper moves to ZESCO United on loan

Reigning Zambia Super League Champions, ZESCO United have confirmed the acquisition of midfielder Dickson Chapa from NAPSA Stars.

Chapa who has been an integral part of the Pensioners set up for the last four years has penned a one-year loan deal with the Ndola-based outfit.

Both ZESCO United and the Pensioners took to their official social media pages to confirm the development.

“ZESCO United football club is delighted to announce the signing of a defensive midfielder, Dickson Chapa from Napsa Stars football club.

Chapa signs a 1-year loan move to the league champions subject to completing medicals.”

The 29-year-old becomes ZESCO United’s second signing following the capture of former Kitwe United winger Edward Lungu as part of their restructuring to meet the FAZ quota requirement and also preparation to compete in the CAF Champions League.

Chapa was instrumental in Napsa Stars’ impressive run in the 2020/21 CAF Confederation Cup which saw the pensioners qualify for the competition for the first time and secured a place in the Group stage of the elite continental tournament.
