NAPSA Stars Football Club have parted ways with head coach Sipho Mumbi following a string of poor performances.

The Lusaka-based club announced the development on Friday, confirming that the decision was reached by mutual agreement.

“Napsa Stars Football Club wishes to announce that the club has parted ways with Head Coach Sipho Mumbi by mutual agreement,” read part of the club statement.

Mumbi’s assistant, Lawrence Munsha Lubinda, and goalkeeper coach Samuel Banda have also been relieved of their duties as part of the restructuring of the technical bench.

“The club has also mutually separated with First Assistant Coach Lawrence Munsha Lubinda and Goalkeeper Coach Samuel Banda as part of the restructuring of the technical bench,” the statement added.

Napsa Stars have managed only four wins this season and currently sit just two points above the relegation zone.

The final nail in the coffin came on Wednesday when the Pensioners suffered a 1-0 defeat to Mufulira Wanderers Football Club.

“We are grateful for their service to Napsa Stars and we wish them the very best in their future endeavours,” the statement concluded.
