Zambian striker Francisco Mwepu has joined Atlético Sanluqueño from Spanish Laliga side Cádiz CF on a loan until the end of the season.
Both Cadiz CF and Atlético Sanluqueño took to social media to confirm the development.
Atlético Sanluqueño plays in the Primera Federación, a third tier in the Spanish league system.
Mwepu was part of the Cadiz CF main team for their preseason ahead of the 2023/2024 La Liga season.
The 23 year old signed a contract extension with the Spanish Liga Liga side last month, the former Sturm Graz forward extended his stay in Andalusia until 2026.
Prior to his move to Spain, Mwepu spent two seasons at Austrian Bundesliga side, SK Puntigamer Sturm Graz.
He was an influential member of the Zambia Under-20 side between December 2017 and December 2019 helping the team to a COSAFA U-20 title in 2019 as the teams top goalscorer.
Mwepu who is the younger brother to medically retired Chipolopolo former captain, Enock Mwepu made his La Liga debut on matchday 36 last season against Villarreal.
He played 28 games with Mirandilla and scored seven goals one of which came against Atlético Sanluqueño CF at the Ciudad Deportiva.
Avram Grant handed the forward his maiden Chipolopolo call up for the Ivory Coast game despite not taking part in the match.
