Zambian forward Fashion Sakala put in a man of the match performance for Al Fayha in their opening match of the 2023/2024 Saudi Pro League season.
Sakala scored a goal and set up another as Al Fayha beat Al Khaleej 3-1 at the Al Majma’ah Sports City.
Sakala set up Brazilian, Ricardo for the opener 13 minutes into the first stanza after a brilliant run on the left wing.
Sakala then opened his goal account in additional time of the first half with a brilliant goal,going round the keeper before slotting home with his left foot to make it 2-0.
Sultan Mandash made it 3-0 from the penalty spot in the 76th minute after a foul inside the area.
Hisham Al Dubais pulled one back for Al Khaleej three minutes to time but it was a little too late.
Al Fayha won the match comfortably to go second on the log and Sakala was named as the player of the match.
The Zambian completed his big money move to Al Fayha earlier this week ending his two year stay at Ibrox.
I think Patson Daka needs to make this move also. Sitting on thr bench in a lower tier team is not helping his cause. He’s at the prime of his life for a striker and he needs to be on the pitch

Sometimes our Zambian humbleness doesn’t serve the purpose. Daka himself must pursue his course
@C Kalu, that ‘humbleness’ is a killer and many of our guys have failed to cut it in Europe because of that trait while their West African counterparts fight tooth and nail to make things work in their favor.
@Logic I think Daka is going to remain in Europe. His handlers are working on something. I trust Kanoute. Leceister are not playing him for safety reasons.
