Mwenya Chipepo has resigned from his position as Power Dynamos head coach just a few months after winning the league.
Abayellow yesterday travelled to Lusaka for their weekend Super League match without their head coach as reported by the ZamFoot Crew.
Chipepo has now confirmed his departure from Power Dynamos in an interview with the Zambia Daily Mail.
” I am no longer with the team.I have quit,” Chipepo told the Zambia Daily Mail.
“I did my best but some officials still do not respect me and lately there has been a lot of interference regarding team selection so I have decided to step aside,” he added.
Chipepo joined Power in October 2021.
The former Young Power trainer took over the mantle from Masautso Tembo when the team was struggling but he managed to stabilise the ship and won the title in his first full season.
Power were eliminated from the CAF Champions League by Tanzanian side Simba last month.
Chipepo becomes the fourth coach to resign as coach this season after Ian Bakala(Forest Rangers),Albert Kachinga (Prison Leopards)and Chris Kaunda(Prison Leopards).
