Striker Bornwell Mwape on Sunday afternoon scored a goal for Amazulu when they were held 2 – 2 away against Santos FC in South Africa’s second tier National First Division.
Mwape this time started the match and it only took him 11 minutes to register his name on the score sheet with a well taken right footed shot from an Ayabulela Konqobe cross.
Amazulu went on to take a 2 – 0 lead before allowing Santos to come from behind to grab a draw.
Mwape was later substituted by Avela Cezu in the second half while Allan Mukuka started on the bench.
In other news from South Africa’s PSL, Collins Mbesuma helped Mpumalanga Black Aces move into third position with a 2 – 0 win over Bloemfontein Celtic.
Mbesuma who captained the side impressed and was only substituted in the referee’s optional time at the end of the match.
Kennedy Mweene also returned to his club from international duty and only made the bench as Mamelodi Sundowns won 3 – 1 at home against Free State Stars.
Ugandan Dennis Onyango continues to dominate the number one position for the second placed Sundowns side.
Mwape Musonda was an unused substitute for Golden Arrows as they went down 3 – 2 to PSL log leaders Bidvets Wits.

The standards in the PSL have scaled up in th past three years. Players from ZPL hv to play out of their skins to be able to command a regular starting berth in the Psl. All this is a consequence of giving free reign to Kalu and his criminals, at Football House, to do whatever profits their pockets. I have said it b4 here that Kalu lifestyle is beyond his income; 1.
