Mwape Musonda on a brace, A goal for Samu and Kalunga as Fashion, Lubambo and Kabaso assist

Mwape Musonda scored a brace while Kenneth Kalunga and Friday Samu scored a goal each as Zambian players abroad continued to impress in their respective leagues.

Kabaso Chongo, Lubambo Musonda ans Fashion Sakala Jnr set up goals while Patson Daka and Enock Mwepu got in some valuable minutes in the English Premier League.

In Denmark, Lubambo Musonda set up the second goal and put in a full shift as AC Horsens edged Nykobing 3-2 in a Danish First Division clash.

In DR Congo , Kabaso Chongo set up Christian Koume Koffi for the opener as TP Mazembe cruised to a 2-0 win over Pyramids FC in the CAF Confederation Cup to progress to the next round.

Compatriot Tandi Mwape put in a full shift while former Chipolopolo Boys skipper Rainford Kalaba was not included in the match day squad.

In England, Enock Mwepu put in a 61 minute shift for the Seagulls who played out to a 2-2 draw with the Saints, Southampton.

Danny Welbeck scored Albion’s fastest goal of the season after 76 seconds and Mohammed Salisu’s own goal doubled their advantage.

But Southampton skipper James Ward-Prowse showed his set-piece prowess again when he reduced the deficit in first-half stoppage time with a free kick. Ward-Prowse rewarded Southampton for their strong start to the second half with a 54th-minute equaliser, to make sure Brighton and Hove Albion remained winless at home in this fixture since 2012.

Elsewhere, Striker Patson Daka put in a 71 minute shift for Leicester City who were held to a goalless draw by Aston Villa.

In Israel, Lameck Banda put in a full shift for the Maccabi Petah Tikva side that suffered a 4-0 defeat at home to Nof Hagalil.

In Portugal, Kenneth Kalunga scored a goal as CD Cova de Piedade played to a 1-1 draw with Santarem in the Portuguese Liga 3.

In Russia, Evans Kangwa put in a 58 minute shift for Arsenal Tula who succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Rubin Kazan.

Klings Kangwa was not part of the match as he is still serving a suspension.

The loss means Arsenal Tula are in serious relegation problems as they sit bottom of the Russian Premier League with 21 points from 26 games and 8 points from safety with four games to play.

In Scotland, Fashion Sakala Jnr set up Scot Wright for FC Rangers’ second goal as they beat Motherwell 3-1.

Sakala has now been involved in six goals in four games against Motherwell (5 goals and one assist).

In the Scottish Championship, Frankie Chisenga Musonda put in a 76 minute shift for Raith Rovers who eased past Hamilton, 2-0 thanks to a Ben Williamson brace.

In South Africa, Kennedy Mweene was an unused substitute for Mamelodi Sundowns who were eliminated from the CAF Champions League 3-2 on aggregate by Petro Athletico following a 1-1 draw at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium.

In the DSTV premiership, Mwape Musonda scored a brace as Swallows came from two goals down to beat Baroka FC 3-2 to boost their chances of survival.

Austin Muwowo was not part of the Dube Birds matchdau squad.

At the Peter Mokaba Stadium, Gamphani Lungu put in a full shift for Supersport United who recorded a goalless draw against Marumo Gallants.

At the Danie Craven Stadium, Stellenbosch edged Kaizer Chiefs 1-0. Nathan Sinkala and Lazarus Kambol were not involved.

At the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium, Rodrick Kabwe and Toaster Nsabata put in a full shift while Justin Shonga was a second half substitute as Sekhukhune United played to a goalless draw with Golden Arrows.

At the Mbombela Stadium, Friday Samu scored a late goal to rescue a point for Maritzburg United who played to a goalless draw with TS Galaxy on Saturday.

In Sweden, Emmanuel Banda put in a 79 minute shift for Djurgådens IF who suffered a 1-0 loss ahainsy AIK in the Tvillingderbyt, Which is regraded as the most important derby in Sweden.

In Tanzania, Rally Bwalya was an unused substitute for Simba SC who were booted out of the CAF Confederation Cup on penalties by Orlando Pirates.

In the USA, Aime Mabika put in a full shift for Inter Miami who recorded a hard fought 2-1 win over Atlanta United.
