Nkana Captain Musa Mohammed says playing in Zambia is much better than playing in his home country, Kenya.
The former Gor Mahia captain revealed that in Zambia players are given everything they agree on in their contracts and the clubs are run in a professional way.
The 28-year-old spent seven years with K’Ogalo and won four league titles before moving to Albanian to join club KF Tirana, but the contract was terminated in April 2018 after just four months and joined Nkana in July.
“The fact is; it is much better playing here in Zambia. The club officials treat players well and everything that you have agreed on, a player is given. In other words, everything is run and managed in a professional manner compared to at Gor Mahia,” Mohammed Goal.com
Mohammed has been a key member of the Nkana team and believes he settled quickly in Zambia because of the huge number of Kenyan players featuring in the league.
Kenyan players in the MTN/FAZ Super League include Duncan Otieno (Nkana FC), Jesse Were, John Makwatta, Ian Otieno, and David Owino (Zesco United) and keeper Shaban Odhoji of Napsa Stars FC.
“It was easy for me. Before traveling to Zambia, I had been in touch with a number of Kenyan players and they gave me advice on what to expect. By the time I got there, it was easy to settle in quickly,” he said.
Since his arrival at Chilata, He has helped the club to a second-place finish in the league in his first season and was part of the team that clinched the maiden Barclays Cup in as well as reached the quarter-finals stage of the Caf Confederation Cup, where they lost 3-2 on aggregate to Tunisian side CS Sfaxien.

In the 2019/2020 season, Musa has made 22 league appearances for Nkana FC as at week 24. He only missed two league games against Mufulira Wanderers(0-0) and Forest Rangers (0-1).
