Aggrey Chiyangi’s tenure as Green Buffaloes’ head coach started on a bright note as the Go Fight and Conquer Boys edged Nkwazi at Edwin Imboela Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Green Buffaloes started the 2025/2026 MTN Super League season on a winning note as they handed Nkwazi a narrow 2-1 defeat.
Bornwell Mwape put Green Buffaloes in the lead at the half hour mark. Christopher Zulu leveled matters just before the break from the penalty spot sending Prince Bwalya the wrong way.
John Kosamu restored the lead in the 67th minute and proved to be the match winning goal as Buffaloes held on to seal the maximum points.
Clement ‘Jakuzi’ Mulenga, Sharpy Chikondi Njobvu and Robin Siame started for Buffaloes while Youremember Banda, Abeauty Simazuwo and Malani Gondwe made the bench.
Elsewhere, Nkana were frustrated by Leopards FC who held them to a goalless draw in Kabwe.
