It was an exciting day of matchday one fixture of the 2019/2020 MTN/FAZ Super League which had seven games being played in six different towns with Lusaka hosting two games.
Eleven goals were scored and all of the 11 goals were scored by different players. Green Eagles’ forward Kennedy Musonda scored the first goal of the season as he put the Kawale Boys in the lead 27 minutes into the match against Kabwe Warriors.
Bruce Musakanya scored the first penalty of the season and of the seven games only two had both teams scoring goals. There were five clean sheets recorded.
The first day had four home wins and two away win and one draw. Out of the 14 teams that took part only four teams failed to find the back of the net.
Week one continues tomorrow as Lusaka dynamos host Lumwana Radiants at Nkoloma Stadium while Green Buffaloes visit record twelve-time Champions, Nkana.
