Mohamed Fathi has obtained the elite CAF Pro Licence, which will make him one of only two Zambian coaches with the highest coaching qualifications in football.
Fathi has obtained the coaching credential alongside some of Egypt’s top coaching figures, including former national team coaches and tacticians with experience at leading clubs such as Al Ahly, Zamalek, Arab Contractors and Ismaily.
The group includes Egyptian football great Hossam Hassan, the current head coach of the Egyptian national team.
Fathi has also made his mark in Zambian football, helping Kansanshi Dynamos fight against relegation last season and being involved in NAPSA Stars’ CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
He was recently shortlisted for the Zimbabwe national team coaching job.
His impending graduation further strengthens his credentials and growing profile in African football.
