Zambia beat Sierra Leone in the final match of the Morocco 2025 African Cup of Nations.
Second half goals from Emmanuel Banda and Kennedy Musonda propelled Zambia to a 2-0 victory as the 2012 African Champions finished at the summit of Group G.
After a poor first half, Emmanuel Banda put Zambia in the 54th minute with a fine strike after being set up by Klings Kangwa who went on a brilliant run beating a number of players before laying it off for Banda.
Musonda then sealed the win with his fourth goal of the qualifiers pouncing on a rebound after a Joseph Sabobo Banda shot hit the post.
The win means the Chipolopolo finished top of group G with 13 points ahead of defending Champions, Ivory Coast who finished second with 12 points.
The tournament will be held in Morocco and will start on December 21, 2025.
