Mbola, Kangwa in the dark as duo are ‘ruled out’ of Kenya tie

Israel based duo left back Emmanuel Mbola and Evans Kangwa have been ruled out this Sunday’s 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya, Zambianfootball.co.zm understands.

The ZamFoot Crew understands that the Football Association of Zambia, FAZ hasn’t even communicated to the two players and this has raised a lot of questions both at Football House and at the Chipolopolo Boys team hotel, Lusaka’s Protea Hotel.

While caretaker boss George Lwandamina has been briefed privately by either team manager Lusekelo Kamwambi or FAZ Communications Manager Nkweto Tembwe on the two’s availability, no one has bothered to brief both Mbola and Kangwa.

“It is embarrassing that FAZ has failed to tell the boys that they won’t be needed for this game. In the last 3  days, FAZ has just been saying that ‘they will be in tonight’ and this Thursday.

“Even the other players in camp have been surprised why no reason has been given so far,” a ZamFoot Crew insider has said.

In Israel, the two players have already packed their luggage waiting for their tickets to  fly to Lusaka but as things stand, they are likely to unpack upon reading this article.

While Mbola has been average in the last 12 months for Zambia, the experienced left back was more likely to offer stability then Napsa Stars’ teenage full back Boyd M’kandawire.

    • BRO, GERMISTON, FAZ ARE FUN OF ERRM!! DISLOCATIONS OF
ARAINGMENTS..GHANA HAVZE SEEN THAT THE FAZ AUTHORITIES DONT HAVE THE CALIBRE TO ARRAINGEMENTS..

DURING THE ARRAINGEMENTS OF THE CHIPOS PLAYING WITH GHANA
IN THE WC WAS WRONG..THE CAPACITY THAT FAZ HAVE IN ARRANGING THE CHIPOS ARE ALWAYS THE SAME..WRONG, WRONG,
      WRONG.

THEY ALWAYS WORSHIP THEIR POWER OF DESTINIES AS A HEAD OF AN ASSOCIATION AND BEING PAID BY THE TAX PAYERS
MONEY. THEY ALL HAVE TO BE SACKED FOR HURTING ZAMBIAN FOOTBALL FANS. THE GREAT KALU MUST BE THE FIRST TO BE SACKED PERIOD.

  1. When will Zambia play an important international game without issues? Always the same

-Zambia travel to London to face Ghana in a friendly (issues)
-Zambia travel by road from SA to Botswana for a world cup game (shame)
-Zambia attempt to train in a carpark after arriving late for the decisive world cup qualifying game against Ghana (shame)
-And now this issue of not telling the truth
Is FAZ really serious in the way they are administering footabll in Zambia?. All this nonsense and these guys never learn

  2. “”” While Mbola has been average in the last 12 months for Zambia, the experienced left back was more likely to offer stability then Napsa Stars’ teenage full back Boyd M’kandawire””

    Is this a Joke?

  3. Even regarding Sate Sate, Tembwe did not tell the truth. I hear Sate Sate has been in Zambia since the game vs Ivory Coast, probably on vacation, which is very normal if this was sanctioned by his Club

FAZ gave his playing of 6 international games at both Senior and junior level as an excuse. Foolish enough someone from the same Association has clarified the isse

Where is Zed football and sport in general heading to?

  4. This story is lacking and a fabrication of the writer’s imagination.
Give us news and not planted stories. This is Speculative and not Investigative journalism from the gutter where it belongs. You don’t have to create stories for the sake.
1.Why didn’t you speak to either Mbola or Kangwa to find out if their tickets were sent.
    2. What is delaying their departure if the tickets were sent to them. Is it the teams are holding on to them or what?
3.Their is not even an official version of events from the same accused FA but busy quoting ghost sources.
4.The team coach has picked his final list of players. Why didn’t you get his reasons for not having Mbola and Kangwa?
Too much politicking is killing our game.

When the team is behind schedule in departing we will skin the FAZ.

  5. The players may be experiencing flight problems which may not be the fault of the FA. What is the source of this information? No solid source. Why are we hanging in a balance on providing timely information? Has the FA come out with such news? Have the players been contacted in Europe to confirm this? We cannot be fed with such information which tends to be ‘purely speculative” as the previous blogger asserted. We need concrete facts and not jaundiced information as has been provided here. ZAMFOOT, COME AGAIN. This is hitting below the belt.

    • When did you and are you going to get concrete facts from FAZ, when we have all seen their failures in the past. Just wait until Zambian football sinks to the point of no return

Right now Zambian football is being administered as though it is during the last days of the titanic. If we are not careful our standards will be to the levels like those of Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland, Malawi, India, Thailand and so on

Who is to blame? It is clearly those that are responsible for running football in Zambia, and the big finger points at FAZ

Already Zambian football has gone very backward because of poor administration at FAZ. Even information about players has now become confidential. Awe mwe twanaka

      • In as much as l agree with you that our levels have fallen, it does not take anything from the fact that the story written above has so many loopholes that can be filled. We need to be provided with trustworthy information, not just what someone thinks is happening or may happen. Information that can be supported with facts and figures, not hearsay.

  6. i agree wth u bolayapazed, zamfoot call kangwa ed mbola find out them. Then call faz ask them, than these half stories u r giving us. Plz can faz fail 2 bring mbola here surely, yo next story shud carry ful imformation

  7. I am not surprised, this was expected. I know this would happen. And don’t be surprised if more drama happens after the Kenya game. Zambia will be arriving on Wednesday from Kenya and will likely miss the Gabon friendly. Be braced for more drama. With these vipuba running FAZ, anything is possible.

  8. King KaluuuUuUuuuuuuuuu climb down from your ivory tower; the docile Zambians have lost their marbles! King Kaluuuuuuuuuuu “master of the art of deception; there are many imitators, but he alone is monarch”! FAZ is crumbling guys or has alredy done so! I told u Kalu has no administrative abilities, he has never worked in a civilised environment. Let’s force this pinhead to resign if the result from Kenya is not favourable! Immediately after the match bloggers unite and draft a petition to force this bunch out of office.NONSENSE

    • If we win in Kenya, shall we increase the bonuses of the bunch? what is in their contracts? To win the Kenya match or qualify us to AFCON? We need to diagnose the problem critically. Most will agree with me that we do not have the foundation well structured in our football system. Most nations doing well now have established soccer academies that are producing talented young boys for their senior teams. What do we have? NOTHING. A solid foundation is needed. Let us start from the soccer academies. No rush. Rome was not built in a day.

    • What is the real reason these players have been left out.? It must be said…

Because Zambia cant afford this, you need your best players and these are them. To just say dont come you must be out of your mind….

  9. Imwe ba FAZ, yashani kanshi? Honestly failing to pick up the phone and touch base with the players is now a big issue? Awe mwandi….we seriously need a new administration.

  10. The story is sketchy so far, but as always when it comes Faz there is smoke and there is always fire.

Some people want to blame Zamfoot, they are in denial, there is always a problem.

    FAZ eyes on ball? Sure
