Caretaker Chipolopolo Boys coach George ‘Chicken’ Lwandamina i set to partner Stopilla Sunzu with either Zesco United’s Daudi Musekwa or Buchifuzya Mfune in tomorrow’s friendly match against North African powerhouse Egypt in Dubai.
The 2012 African Cup of Nations Champions arrived in Dubai on Friday morning and without Moroccan based defender Aaron Katebe and Power Dynamos’ Christopher Munthali has to reshuffle his back line.
Lwandamina has an easy choice to make in that department. The former Mufulira Wanderers man is currently Musekwa’s club coach and he knows Mfune to well having worked with midfielder cum centre-back during his time at Green Buffaloes in that famed ‘Go Boys and Conquer’ side which included the Katongo brothers; Christopher and Felix, Noel Mwandila, Newa Mwewa and ex-goalkeeper Mike Poto.
Without doubt the veteran Musekwa has been a rock at the heart of the Zesco United defence but equally Mfune has been the standout players in the local league for Buffaloes.
At right back, Lwandamina is set to continue with teenange fullback Benedict Chepeshi. Benedict’s father Felix was also under Lwandamina as a player when Mfune was coming through.
Boyd M’kandawire at left with Buffaloes’ anchorman Jack Chirwa in midfield in a different role as a box to box midfielder alongside Nathan Sinkala who will be the holding midfielder. Sinkala is also another Buffaloes connection in the side having played with Mfune in the engine room as the two holding midfielders behind Sebastian Mwansa in Lwandamina’s final two seasons at the Arakan outfit.
With Rainford Kalaba ruled out, Chisamba Lungu and Lubambo Musonda will play on the flanks while Collins Mbesuma is likely to start in the no.10 role behind Winstone Kalengo

Kalengo is not as creative as Mbesuma,which is why he is played as the number 9 and Mbesuma 10,though Mbesuma is more lethal on goal.And on another note,Musekwa and Mfune are not veterans please don’t excite us for nothing.Ziyo Tembo and George Chilufya are 10 times better than both of them.

this chicken should not bring old horses in this team. this not old people’s home.the strike force is a bit slow it can be very difficult for them to score against a fast Egyptian side. there is no pace in the team.
