Lumwana Radiants unveil Lameck Banda

Lumwana Radiants officially unveiled Lameck Banda as their new head coach on Saturday as earlier reported by the ZamFoot Crew

Banda was unveiled in Lumwana on Monday afternoon alongside Livingstone based young coach Bupe Chewe as his assistant Coach.

Banda has penned a two year deal with the FAZ National Division One side who were relegated from the Elite League last season.

“Lumwana Radiants Football Club wishes to inform  members of the public that it has engaged Lameck Banda as Head Coach on a two year contract.

Coach Banda is the immediate past head coach for FC Muza and will be assisted by Bupe Chewe.”

The club went on to wish Lameck Banda and Bupe Chewe the best of luck.

“We can only wish Coach Banda the best of luck as he takes up the role of Lumwana Radiants FC Head Coach together with his assistant coach.”

Banda recently left FC MUZA following a stellar season with the Elegant Dynamites leading the club through a historic 2022-23 season.

During his tenure Banda led FC MUZA to impressive performances that saw the club finish second place in the Super League and automatically qualify for their maiden CAF Confederation Cup.

Banda also led Mazabuka outfit to the ABSA Cup Final where they lost to Forest Rangers at a packed Woodlands Stadium.

At Lumwana Radiants, Banda will be tasked to bring the team back to the top tier, the MTN Super League following their relegation to the FAZ National Division One last season.

The Uranium Boys finished 16th on the MTN Super League table in the 2022/2023 season with 34 points from 34 games.
