Lubasha nets hat-trick BUSA hammer Wanderers

BUSA Queens on Thursday afternoon got back to winning ways as they thrashed Mufulira Wanderers Women Football Club 5-1 in a 2020/21 FAZ Women’s Super League Rescheduled Match Week 5 played at Margaret Mwanakatwe Stadium.

Two quick goals from Salome Phiri and Elizabeth Lubasha in a space of 2 minutes in the 6th and 8th minute respectively unsettled Wanderers before Lubasha completed her brace to make it 3-0 inside the opening 15 minutes of the first half.

Glory Chilenga Maweta added the 4th goal for BUSA at the stroke of halftime to make 4-0 going at the break after beating several players to finish off a great solo run.

After the resumption, player of the match Lubasha added the icing on the cake for the people’s favorite team with a 5th goal in the 52nd minute and completed a hattrick for herself which was her best performance this season.

Regina Kayamboma scored the consolation goal for Wanderers as the match ended 5-1 in favor of BUSA to ensure maximum points for the coach Kaluba Kangwa drilled lasses while it’s back to the drawing board for Wanderers who face a stern task against Red Arrows this weekend in another Rescheduled Match 11 at Nkoloma Stadium.

On Wednesday, Red Arrows played to a 1-1 draw with Elite Ladies, Lusaka Dynamos Ladies at Nkoloma Stadium in a rescheduled week five encounter.

Grace Chanda opened the scores with a close-range header but Siomela Mapepa equalized with a close-range finish to make sure the two teams share spoils.
