Patson Daka headlines Zambian trio expected to be in action in the UEFA Europa League, the second most prestigious club tournament in Europe.
Daka’s Leicester City has been drawn into Group C of the UEFA Europa League alongside SSC Napoli, Spartak Moskva, and Legia Warszawa.
After qualifying by finishing fifth in the Premier League and lifting the Emirates FA Cup last term, the Foxes will travel to Italy, Russia, and Poland over the coming four months, hoping to write a new history for the Club on the European stage.
In Scotland, Fashion Sakala Jnr’s Rangers have been drawn in Group A alongside French Ligue 1 giants Lyon, Sparta Praha of the Czech Republic, and Danish side Brondby.
In Austria, Striker Francisco Mwepu’s Sturm Graz is in Group B alongside AS Monaco, PSV, and Spanish side Real Sociedad.
Teams in each group will come up against one another home and away, with the same sides meeting on matchdays one and five, or matchdays two and six, or matchdays three and four. Official fixture dates and times will be confirmed and announced in the coming days.
New in 2021/22, group winners will progress straight to the Round of 16 stage. In another change, runners-up now go into the knockout round playoffs, where they will tackle the third-placed UEFA Champions League teams for places in the Round of 16.
Third-placed sides, on the other hand, will enter the UEFA Europa Conference League knockout round playoffs.
