Zambian striker Lewis Macha has started his life in the South African league on a high after he scored for Kaizer Chiefs in their 2 – 0 win over Orlando Pirates in the 2016 Carling Black Label Cup final played at FNB stadium.
The 24 year old striker signed for Amakhosi from Ferroviário de Maputo Of Mozambique at the end of June and rose to the occasion on his first Soweto derby.
Macha started the game on the bench and came on as a second half substitute to help Chiefs seal the win.
He scored the second goal when he beat Pirates goalkeeper Mhlongo with a great header in stoppage time.
This was Chiefs’ second ever Carling Black Label Cup crown.

Aba bola tabalubikwa.By the way how is the performance of Winstone Kalengoal?
That’s the way to go lewis macha continue working hard but knowing how useless FAZ and george lwandimina are they won’t even call you to the national team
Dnt wry georg he wl be out soon
As for nw i dnt consider lwandmina as our coach maybe at zesco i cn suport hm.
Proper instinctive goal and composure what a way to introduce yourself
Good one mwaiche. Good start at the Glamour side Kaizer Chiefs.
Bitter sweet result for me as a Pirates supporter and a Zambian. I wish Lewis had more game time but still I’m really happy for him. It always feels good to have a Zambian taking the headlines for all the good reasons in the PSL. I hope the coach starts with him this weekend against NFD new comers Magesi FC. They say there are no easy games in football these days but this one should be a relatively easy win for Chiefs and I hope Lewis starts and gets a brace. He needs to start stamping his authority in front of goal because he has some very serious competition in the form of Bernard Parker for that top man spot.
This guy Lewis Macha reminds me of how Wedson Nyirenda started in the Iwisa charity cup for Kaizer chiefs against Pirates in 1994 and he went on to become a household name in the South African premiership league.I hope Lewis Macha goes on to emulate Wedson Nyirenda.
That’s how one has to announce his presence in a new country with the 2 bitter rivals.
Lewis bombesha time is come to pra for your national team
lewis macha good luck
