Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca is unsure if Zambian striker Patson Daka could still leave the club.
Daka’s switch to Bournemouth didn’t go through on deadline day.
After earlier holding talks with AC Milan, the Zambian looked on course to move to the Vitality Stadium until the deal broke down around 25 minutes before the cut-off.
Maresca could not shed any light on what happened, nor could he say what might happen in the next couple of weeks.
There is still the potential for him to leave with the transfer windows in Belgium, Turkey and Saudi Arabia open.
“Probably sometimes you try to do something and sometimes it doesn’t happen,” Maresca said when asked why Daka’s move had not gone through.
“To be honest, I don’t know (if he could still leave.
Daka is expected to link up with his compatriots for a CAF 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Comoros.
