Zambia national team winger Lameck Banda has arrived in Turkey ahead of Friday’s international friendly match against Congo Brazzaville.
Banda arrived in Antalya on Tuesday at 19:00hrs from his base in Israel.
Banda and USA-based defender Aimé Mabika are the first two players to arrive ahead of the two international friendly matches.
Banda has been fantastic for his club, Maccabi Petah Tikva scoring eight goals and assisting twice in 27 games in all competitions.
The former Nkwazi player was very influential at junior Chipolopolo helping the U-17 win the 2017 COSAFA Championships.
Chipolopolo coach Aljosa Asanovic has named a 23 member squad for this week’s trip to Turkey that will feature in two international friendly matches starting with Congo Brazzaville on Friday March 25.
Asanovic will be without several key players for different reasons. Leicester City forward Patson Daka is unavailable due to a family commitment.
Midfielder Rally Bwalya is stuck in West Africa, Augustine Mulenga is injured, Fashion Sakala tested positive to COVID-19 while FC Midtjylland have not released Edward Chilufya.
