Zambia national team midfielder Klings Kangwa is confident the Chipolopolo Boys will qualify for the 2023 AFCON tournament.
The Arsenal Tula midfield ace is keen on realizing his childhood dream of playing at the biggest football showpiece on the continent.
Kangwa believes it’s time for the team to realize their long-time dream of playing at an AFCON tournament.
“I’m positive this time around we shall qualify, we just need to believe and work really hard,” Kangwa told the ZamFoot Crew.
“Ofcourse the dream of every player is to play Afcon. and the other top tournaments.”
“We have been missing at afcon three times. We also want to play afcon we want the dream of playing afcon to come true. We shall fight and give everything when the games begin in June,” he added.
Zambia were drawn in group H alongside hosts Côte d’Ivoire, Comoros and Lesotho for the qualifiers of the 34th edition of the international men’s football championship of Africa.
Having missed the last three consecutive tournaments, The Chipolopolo Boys are desperate to secure a place in Côte d’Ivoire.
The qualifiers for next year’s showpiece will start in June 2022
