Arrows coronation deferred, Konkola Blades relegated as Kafue Celtic stay but just

Red Arrows coronation has been deferred by Kabwe Warriors following a draw in Kabwe while Konkola Blades have been relegated.

ZESCO United have continued to put pressure on the Airmen while Kafue Celtic are hanging on to Super League football by a thread.

The MTN Super League entered week 32 of action this afternoon with all nine matches taking place around the country.

Log Leaders, Red Arrows visited Kabwe Warriors needing a win to seal their first league title win since 2004.

Alassane Diarra put the Airmen in the lead but a Ocean Mushure free kick with the help of Charles Kalumba’s butter fingers helped drew the magnificent People’s team level.

The match ended 1-1 meaning Red Arrows will have to wait for their title win confirmation and try again over the weekend when they host Chambishi.

At Nkana Stadium a double header came alive with Indeni hosting Nkwazi and Nkana battling Buildcon.

With survival on the line, Nkwazi edged Indeni 2-0 thanks to goals from Elias Kazangarare and Christopher Zulu.

In the second match, Nkana returned to winning ways as they beat Buildcon 2-0.

A David Obashi penalty and a Jacob Ngulube goal gave Nkana maximum points heading into the Kopala derby on the weekend.

In Chililabombwe, Bottom placed Konkola Blades welcomed Prison Leopards needing a win to have any chance of staying in the League.

Damiano Kola put the Collect Boys in the lead in the 13th minute before Maybin Kalengo could level matters with ten minutes to go.

Landu Miete broke the Chililabombwe people’s hearts in added time as he netted the winner to send the Sharp Razor back to the lower division.

In Choma, Kafue Celtic and Green Eagles played out to a 2-2 draw at the Independence Stadium.

The result means the Crocs are a draw or lose away from relegation with any Nkwazi point from the last two games proving fatal for them.

In Chambishi, The Bankers Zanaco edged Chambishi 1-0 to move up to fifth place on the log.

At Woodlands Stadium, A late George Ngoma brace was not enough as Forest Rangers run riot thrashing Green Buffaloes 5-2.

A brace each from Moro Amenu and Clifford Mulenga plus a Bornwell Mwape goal gave Ian Bakala a well deserved win.

Thabani Kamusoko’s first half header made sure ZESCO United stayed withing touching distance of Red Arrows and keeping the title chasing on.
