Patson Daka drops to the bench as Leicester visit Goodison Park

Chipolopolo forward Patson Daka has dropped to the bench for Leicester City’s visit to Goodison Park.

Daka started at St James’ Park on Sunday before being withdrawn in the 78th minute for Kelechi Iheanacho who takes up his place in the starting line up this evening.

Brendan Rogers has named a strong team with Kasper Schmeichel maintaining his place in goal and protected by a back four of Timothy Castagne, Wesley Fofana, John Evans and Ricardo Pereira.

Papy Mendy starts in the defensive midfield role with Youri Tielemans and Kierian Dewsbury Hall above him.

Iheanacho leads the attack supported by James Madison and Harvey Barnes.

Marc Albrighton, Ayonze Pérez, Ademola Lookman, and Daka will offer Rogers options from the bench.

Daka has been involved in seven goals (4 goals and 3 assists ) in 18 Premier League appearances for the Foxes.

The Foxes are ninth in the Premier League, as well as being in the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League while Frank Lampard’s Toffees currently sit just three points above the relegation zone.

The two sides meet at Goodison Park for a 20:45pm CAT kick-off this evening.
