Russian based duo of attacking midfielder Klings Kangwa and striker Evans Kangwa will not be part of the Chipolopolo squad that will play Algeria and Zimbabwe in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The ZamFoot Crew has been informed that their club Arsenal Tula has not released the two owing to the Covid-19 situation in the country.
“Its sad that both Evans and I are not coming,” Kings confirmed with the ZamFoot Crew.
The two players were in action for Arsenal when they lost 2 – 0 away to Akhmat Grozny. The result has left the team in a precarious position as they look to survive relegation as they are three points outside the relegation zone.
European countries have a mandatory 10 day quarantine rule after travels to areas mist affected by the COVID 19 pandemic and the club seemed reluctant to release their prized players with the threat of relegation.
The both played in the back to back Africa Cup qualifier games against Botswana and were expected to play a vital role in the two games ahead especially with Zambia needing to win both games to have a chance of qualifying to the finals.
While the Patson Daka confirmed, after helping his club to a 1 – 0 win, that his next stop was Zambia, Fashion Sakala has also pulled out of the up-coming national team games after he sustained an injury.
The total number of confirmed absentees is now three.
