Won’t make any difference who the ref is(if they want let them give us Pierluigi Collina), Zambian clubs are plain pathetic. The standard of our league is division 4 level in most African countries that are better than us currently. In Europe, most of our players would be water boys and I am not trying to just talk nonsense or diss our players, its just a fact and this is all on Faz’s lack of grassroot development. I must add though, that it was not all on Kalu’s corrupt and inability to lead Faz well as it started way before he became FAZ president, but he failed to revamp the league to yield better results, and for that he is a failure.
In as much i agree with you in some areas, i totally disagree with you in others. Kalu did his part, yes he never concentrated on the grass root football but he scored in other areas. Lets identify his short comings and work on them. Lets forget this Kalu issue and forge ahead. He is just human and cant be perfect in everything, Only God is.
This is an ongoing problem with most African countries . Immediate solution to our football woes. We must start from the grassroots. Youth Academies. Germany is a model for us. Academies cut across every facet of Germany’s football institutions. Contrary, we just want to reap where we have not sown. Let us prepare the young & upcoming talents for some years before expecting results from our national teams. Secondly, the relationship between our young players & their agents must be regulated by our respective FAs. The reason is: the agents merely look for their own financial interests & therefore throw these boys to any team without regard to the boys future development. All THE aGENTS Want IS THEIR commission. Talented & naturally gifted boys may be thrown to some fourth division league in Bulgaria. Total waste. The FAS must be involved to some extent in these player/agent relationship if we have regulated academies under the various FAs
