Chipolopolo Boys midfielder Kelvin ‘Kemuka’ Mubanga Kampamba says Morocco should not underrate the COSAFA giants as they will give them North Africa team a good run for their money.
The Chipolopolo Boys are winless at the ongoing TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) and are desperate for a win.
Morocco on the other hand will be looking to bounce back to winning ways after losing to Kenya by a lone goal in their last game.
Despite Zambia being winless at the tournament Kampamba has fired warning shots at Morocco not to underrate Zambia.
Kampamba who was speaking during a pre-match press conference at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kampamba said the tournament is not yet over as Zambia will have a good game against Morocco.
“Zambia has always reached the quarter-finals yes, but it’s not over yet because we will have a good game against Morocco. We expect a tough game. They should not underrate us because we will give them a good run for their money,” he said.
“We have to believe in ourselves as players. We are here to show our character and skills every time we enter the pitch. We do not decide to be beaten easily, but its circumstances are beyond our control sometimes.”
“We will go there and fight for maximum points,” he added.
Zambia plays Morocco at Nyayo National Stadium at 16h00 CAT (Zambian time) in their Group A third round encounter.
Kenya top Group A on seven points with Angola lying second on four while DR Congo and Morocco have three points with Zambia lying bottom of the table without a point to their name.
Kenya and Angola have played three games while the remaining members have only played two. The top two teams in the group will qualify to the quarterfinals of the TotalEnergies CHAN 2024.

You need a spark and luck Chipolopolo. What is your way of playing. I can’t see an old Roan United game, Wonderer quick attacks or Nkana tenacity.
Zambia can’t even beat Morocco’s under 15s with this team.
That grandpa won’t take u anyway , akulatilufyafye…..
We need a new coach. Zambia is not going anywhere.
